You will find a wide variety of exciting activities to keep you busy at the Dancing Horse Retreat and in the nearby area.

If you enjoy fabulous wines and good conversation, then you must tour the numerous wineries. There are actually 24 tasting rooms within 20 minutes! You will always remember the taste of spirited Zinfandels, fragrant Merlots, delightful Pinot Noirs, rich Cabernets, and elegant Chardonnays as you discuss local history and wine making amid hanging grape vines and the unique atmosphere of each tasting room.

 Bring your bikes for leisure rides in the hills surrounding Paso Robles. We particularly enjoy riding to several of the wineries as we take in the smell of almond blossoms that blanket the hillsides. Another favorite ride goes from Chimney Rock to Cambria for lunch and back if you are in shape. Paso Robles boasts the "Tour de France training loop," and hosts the Great Western Bicycle Rally (May) and Annual Hospice du Rhone (June).

Bring your boat or jet ski for excellent water recreation at Lake Nacimiento and Lake San Antonio (just minutes away). We have plenty of parking for your toys.

Bring your horses and enjoy riding exploring our many trails at the retreat as well as some incredible trail rides nearby along the beach, in the Los Padres National Forest, and the Salinas River Bed.
